QUEENS Garnets Size: 70-80ft. Color: Garnets range from a very, very light pink to almost black in color. Gender: Female Only Impression: Garnet's only impress to heterosexual females, these females are very strong leaders. Flights: Garnets mature at three-and-a-half turns, which is pretty late in life for dragons. They rise once a turn every turn thereafter. Clutches: The clutches of Garnets are usually very large, with about twenty to forty eggs a clutch. They may have smaller clutches depending on the resources available. General Info: Garnets really are the Queens of the Weyr. People always thought that nothing was higher ranked than Golds, but when Telith clutched these strange colored dragons they soon took over. Garnets aren't as demanding as Golds, but they have a pretty bad temper. They command respect, and are quite vicious when upset. They are protective of not only their riders, but their entire Weyr. What really surprises people is that these large dragons are actually real softies. They almost always give in when it comes to their hatchlings. They are very motherly, but they do have a very dark side to them. They are really regal in the way they carry themselves. These red dragons are probably the most possessive of all the dragons, especially when it comes to their riders and mates. They like to be in the spot-light, and will do just about anything to get the attention they think they deserve. Even though they are so temperamental, these dragons are actually some of the most level-headed dragons of all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Golds Size: 65-70ft. Color: Golds range from a very, very light gold to dark goldenrod in color. Gender: Female Only Impression: Gold's, much like Garnet's, only impress to heterosexual females. Flights: Golds mature at two turns of age. They rise twice a turn every turn thereafter. Clutches: The clutches of Golds are pretty large, with about twelve to twenty eggs a clutch. They may have smaller clutches depending on the resources available. General Info: Golds used to be the top queens, but ever since Talith clutched the first Garnet, they have been demoted to second in line. The only dragon's that won't listen to this golden beasts are the Garnets, and Gypsum's. Golds always carry themselves with a regal demeanor. Golds are not known to be patient, though some are a lot more motherly and caring than others. Though it's not a good idea to make a Gold angry with you, some have been known to just let things slide once in a while. Golds are normally more demanding than the larger Garnets, though some have been known to be as passive as a bronze.

Kings Gypsum's Size: 60-75ft. Color: Gypsum's are usually white, but can have markings in shades of gray, and red. Gender: Male Only Impression: Gypsum's impress heterosexual males, but will impress very manly homosexual females. They have to be exceptional leaders in order to impress one of these large males. Flights: Gypsum's will chase just about anything they think they can catch, but they mainly chase Garnets. Gypsum's mature at two-and-a-half turns. General Info: Gypsum's are the kings of the Weyrs. They really are royalty, and they make sure that everyone knows it. They are the largest of all males, and are really confident and proud beings. Gypsum's are often found holding high ranking positions, even though they don't really care. They are much more relaxed in the way they do things than the previous kings of the Weyrs. Since they are so large they have a hard time maneuvering around on the ground. Yet those large muscles do wonders for them when they are in the sky. They might be large, but they have power, and a lot of stamina. So while they walk a little funny, they are the second most graceful dragons in the sky. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bronzes Size: 60-65ft. Color: Bronzes come in a variety of bronze colors from orangish bronze, to greenish bronze and every color in between. Gender: Male Only Impression: Bronze dragons impress heterosexual males. Flights: Bronze's will chase just about anything they think they can catch, but they mainly chase Golds. Bronzes mature at two turns. General Info: Like with the Golds they have a regal personality. Though this usually means that they are just and fair, but Bronzes can be aggressive and evil. Even though they are no longer the top kings of the Weyr, they usually take over for Gypsum's whenever the larger kings have to be away from the Weyr. Bronzes are more competitive then Gypsum's, and will often fight for positions above the larger males, though they rarely succeed. Bronze dragons may not be as relaxed as the larger Gypsum males, but they are more graceful on the ground than the larger males, and will often try to use that fact to seem more lordly. It doesn't work though, they still try it.

Workers Amethysts Size: 50-65ft. Color: Amethyst dragons come in all shades of purple possible. Gender: Male Only Impression: Amethysts will impress just about any male, and homosexual females. Flights: Amethysts really do chase anything, but they primarily chase Topazes and Greens. Amethysts mature at two turns. General Info: Amethysts are the work-horses of the dragons. The Weyr really does rely on them for most of the hard work the dragons are needed to do. They love to be out working with their riders, and it seems that these dragons really are the "big brothers" of the dragons. They do well as teachers, and are often found working as Weyrling Masters. They really are some of the calmest dragons ever to be created. They often are used as the peace-keepers, and often form really strong bonds with the rest of their wings. They really are very relaxed and calm dragons. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Browns Size: 50-55ft. Color: Brown dragons come in all shades of brown possible. Gender: Male Only Impression: Browns will impress just about any male, and homosexual or bi-sexual females. Flights: Browns will chase anything and everything, though much like the Amethysts, they mainly chase topazes and greens. Browns mature at two turns. General Info: Browns are the other work-horses of the Weyr. Calm and stable, browns are more intelligent than their smaller siblings. They are generally a settling source of comfort within Weyrs, and even play moderator at times. Laid back, some Browns can even be called lazy. Others however, are hard and diligent workers. They will often become Weyrling Masters, or Weyrling Master Assistants, though, it is more common to see them as assistants.

Fighters Blues Size: 40-50ft. Color: Blue dragons come in all shades of blue. Gender: Male Only Impression: Blues will impress any male, but will only impress homosexual females. Flights: Blue dragons mature at twelve months, and will chase the lower ranked females. General Info: Blue's are some of the swiftest dragons in the Weyr. Their personalities can be just as varied as their hide colors. They are mischievous, quirky, and typically have a good sense of humor. Much like their Amethyst brothers, they are often called upon to lighten the tension between the other ranks. The Blue dragons actually make up more than half of the search crew. They are some of the most gentle of all of the dragons, so it's not surprising to see these dragons hanging out with the younger weyrlings. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Topazes Size: 30-45ft. Color: Topaz dragons are mainly yellow, with undertones of varying shades of orange, brown, red, blue, pink, violet and green. Gender: Male & Female (10:1) Impression: Male Topaz dragons impress any sexuality male, and homosexual and bi-sexual females. While female Topaz dragons will impress any sexuality female, and homosexual and bi-sexual males. Flights: Female Topaz matures at eleven months, and flies twice a turn. Males mature at ten months, and chases Greens, and other Topaz. They may sometimes try to chase Garnets, but almost never succeed. Clutches: Topaz dragons don't have to chew firestone, so they can clutch. Yet their clutches are always small, only about twelve eggs a clutch. General Info: Topaz dragons are the most caring dragons of all. Their riders normally have some sort of healing experience. Topaz dragons are compassionate, and will often help teach the weyrling classes. They are very knowledgeable dragons, and have the longest memory of all the dragons. They have a sort of photographic memory, and are often called upon to counsel the Weyrwoman and Weyrleader on matters dealing with the history of the Weyrs. They are pretty opposed to fighting, and will often give up without a fight. They are pretty social, but can be a bit shy around people they don't know. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Greens Size: 20-35ft. Color: Greens come in all shades of green. Gender: Female Only Impression: Greens will impress any sexuality female, but will only impress homosexual males. Flights: Greens mature the earliest of all the colors at four months, and will rise three times a turn every turn. Clutches: Green dragons CAN clutch, they clutch anywhere from one-to-five eggs, with one or two of them being duds. General Info: Greens are THE most energetic dragon, their energy seemingly endless. The personalities of these dragons are just as varied as their hide colors. So you won't really know how a green will turn out. Though, the only thing that is really constant about these dragons is that they are almost always happy-go-lucky, and very friendly. They really are the clowns of the dragon world, and love to make people happy.

Non-Gendered Whites Size: 10-25ft. Color: White dragons are white, but they can have lighter shades of most of the other colors on their hides. Impression: White dragon's impress both genders, though, those dragon's that have a more feminine personality tend to impress females, and those that have more manly personalities, tend to impress males. Flights: Since whites don't have a gender, they don't chase, and they don't rise. Clutches: Since they don't fly, they don't clutch. General Info: White dragons are generally very kind and fun-loving. However, others are known to also be very reasonable and straight-forward. Either way, whites are especially known for the fact that they are neither female or male. However, they do often tend to lean to one side or the other. Unlike other small dragons, whites have a very good sense of where they are on Pern, as well as great memories, though, not as great as that of the topazes. Being the smallest of the dragons, they are still capable of flight, but cannot go for as long as even the Greens can. Instead they are very quick and agile with wings that are well proportioned to their bodies. They also have a bit of a shiny look to their hides, much like that of Blues, Greens, Browns, and Amethysts. Though, it's not metallic like Garnets, Golds, Gypsum's, and Bronzes.
