The Weyrs are carved into the mountain on the western side of the Weyr that Kahool was built from. They are ordered according to rank. The highest ranks are closest to the top of the mountain. The Weyrwoman's weyr being the highest, and largest weyr, with a connected room for meetings, and much of the work that the Weyrwoman has to do is held here. The female Weyrs are along one side, and the male Weyrs are on the other side.

These Weyrs are situated along the base of Kahool Weyr, just under the last Dragon weyr, and above the Wher caverns. Since the Raptors deal with all of the ground work for the Weyrs, they had to have quick access to the ground around the Weyr. Everyone who impresses a Raptor will be assigned a weyr here, unless circumstances do not allow a person to live here. The Ebony's have the largest weyrs for one reason, they absolutely REFUSE to live in anything less. All the other weyrs are the same size, each with a ceiling that is fifteen feet above the floor so that the larger Raptors can come and go without hitting their heads on the ceiling.

Kahool has the second largest library in all of Pern. Because of it's size, and the amount of knowledge here, there are a few rooms here set aside for those few people who have been chosen to help keep the scrolls well maintained.

Each Wher and handler have their own cavern. These caverns are buried below the Raptor weyrs, and have a few access points where the Whers can enter the Weyr Bowl without hindrance. The only lights down here are the glows that line not only the halls, but the caverns themselves. Not exactly luxurious, but they are very comfortable once you get used to them. They are ordered acording to rank, with the gold caverns being the deepest underground.

This is where EVERYONE comes to eat, and is the only place where ranks don't really matter. Everyone is equal here. There are twenty long tables that will hold everyone in the Weyr, and all the hold folk around Kahool. They are at the bottom of the Weyr, and open up directly into the Weyr Bowl. There are lifts in the rear of the kitchens that are used to send food to the Hatching Sands, and Wher Caverns.

The candidate barracks are located close to the kitchen, since this is where most of the chores for them will be held. The rooms are sperated with the girls on one side of the kitchen, and the boys on the other. Each barrack has four beds, which means it's four candidates per room.

This is the largest area within Kahool, and can hold all the people, and creatures, within and around the Weyr comfortably. The Healer's here are extremely well trained, and are always ready at a moments notice. There are many separate rooms that were specially created for each of the different bonded creatures at Kahool. Those who have been trained in the healing arts and have bonded a creature will always have weyrs close to the infirmary.

These tunnels run throughout the Weyr and allow the Wher's easy access to the rest of the Weyr. These tunnels are off limits to most because they run past the Hatching Sands.

These large baths are located deep within Kahool Weyr's mountain, and are kept warm by the hot spring that is located here. The higher ranked handlers and riders have their own private baths, but these large baths are open to all who would enjoy a nice warm bath, and maybe a chance to socialize a while doing so.

These large stables were built for the Weyr's runnerbeasts, and open up to the largest paddock in all of Pern.

These stables have been set aside specifically for the cavalry runnerbeasts. These stables are kept as clean, and as neat as possible. Kahool Weyr takes pride in their cavalry and do their best to keep their cavalry in the best possible condition.

These are all the craft halls that keep Kahool running as smoothly as it does. All of the crafts at Kahool take up a large portion of the Weyr, with each craft having it's own meeting hall, and bed rooms.

Kahool Falls is the waterfall that runs off the side of the mountain just above Kahool Weyr. The falls run off and end in Kahool Lake. The water at the Falls is mostly white rapids, but just a couple of miles up stream the water calms down, not that anyone would go that far into the mountain.

Kahool Lake supplies the entire Weyr with fresh, clean, crystal clear water. This lake is supplied by Kahool Falls, and just behind the falls there is a little indent in the mountain, not really big enough to be a full fledged cave, but big enough to hold the head of a full grown Garnet dragon. The lake is at least six miles deep, and since the water is crystal clear, you can see all the different colored fish that give the water a rainbow look when it is sunny out. The fish in this lake provide most of the food for the Raptors.

This is where all of the Kahool trainees can come and relax together. It is very large, and has everything a trainee could dream off. Well, not really, but it is very luxurious.

These training grounds were made specially for the dragon weyrlings. It has plenty of room for all of Kahool's weyrlings to spread their wings, and learn everything they need to know to fly, and still has extra room!

These training grounds were made specially for the wherlings. It has plenty of room for all of Kahool's wherlings to spread their wings, and learn everything they need to know to be great nocturnal fighters. These grounds may not be as large as the weyrling training grounds, but they still have plenty of room for all of the wherlings. Just as most people would expect, these training grounds are actually carved right into the side of the mountain, where sunlight cannot reach the sensitive eyes of the training wherlings.

Misaria's rider weyrs are smaller than the ones at Kahool yes, but in no way are they small. The queen's weyr is still the largest, but not nearly as large or elaborate as the one in Kahool. The weyrs here are extremely comfortable, whilst a little plain. They have soft, grass like carpets on most of the floors, but there are some people who just didn't want the carpets. The female weyrs have wild roses growing on some of the outer walls that helps give these weyrs a very pleasent smell no matter what happenes in them.

Misaria's raptor weyrs are on the ground level, just like the other raptor weyrs. They are positioned just under the dragon weyrs. The few people that have been able to impress these strange bird like creatures have made these weyrs as comfortable as possible. All of the weyrs have soft, grass like carpates, but the people who had lived here before had taken an extra step to make these weyrs more comfortable for their avian bondeds. There are small little "drinking" area's for the raptors in every room, with the Ebony's having the largest.

This hold is located in the middle of a forest that is just a mere ten miles from Misaria Weyr. Because of all the trees around the Hold almost everyone who lives here, knows some sort of woodcraft. The next most popular craft here is tannercraft because of the amount of wild animals that live in the woods around Bensem Hold.

This is probably the largest, open space on Pern. The grass here is long, and hides a multitude of creatures, some friendly, and some not so friendly. Though these lands are so large, they actually sit closer to Kahool than they do Misaria because of the forest.

These are the forests that cover Pern in shade. They not only surround Misaria Weyr, but actually take up much of Pern's open land. The only land that isn't really covered in trees are the beaches, the prairie, and the Hold Lands.
